    Silco barrels for long range

    Hi to all,

Has anyone bought a (HW) barrel blank from Silco for long range shooting (air rifle wise of course)?
    Choked or Un-Choked?
    What were the results?

    Thank you

    PB

I thought Walther barrels where the best?
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

They are , but the silco Hw's are half the price . They're ok but the Lw is much better finished inside .

Yes.. I found the Silco "OK", but not stellar. I had better results with BSA barrels, for example. And FWB barrels... ooh yeah...
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Ive been impressed with Cometa barrels in all my springers recently, so as a project we used a .177 springer barrel machined to fit a shotgunning r10, and its a proper tack driver now and best bit is the price £70

At what distance are you shooting with this Cometa barrel?
