    Bsa Spitfire

A friend of mine has recently been given a .22 Spitfire model DR with a probe to fill it. Looking at it I cannot see any way of checking when full or how much is left after a few shots. I notice that some models have a built in indicater ( a popup button) but this model DR has nothing visible. Any help would be most appreciated.

just count the shots. plenty of PCP won't have gauges.. they have only become more commonplace recently.
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

likewise.. I might shoot a gun, put it in the cupboard for a couple of months, then grab it again... no way I'll remember it's state of fill.

Thank you for your replies, looks like I will have to fill it and start counting.

I have seen people refill a gun and put 40, 50 pellets in a separate tub and use that to know how many shots are left before a refill...KISS principal!!

I do exactly that with a .22 FX2000 FAC, use 4 x full mags and then top up, 38 shots is usually enough for this time of year when out after squizzers
