There was similar equipment on that site not too long ago, which I think the general consensus was that it was from the (then recently) defunct Lanes factory. Not sure of who else this may be from if not also Lanes. Postage looks a bit steep.

30k, you'd need to make a whole lot of pellets to make that pay itself off.

At £10 a tin you only need 3000 tins or 1,500,000 pellets.
    That's 300 days at 12 hours a day.

Then you have to sell them all to break even.

Whilst I fancy making my own pellets don't think this is for me.

I'd steer well clear of this lads.

The vendor is undoubtedly Mr Jason Nicholas Millar of Douglas Valley Breakers who is a multiple banned member from this and other websites for his doubious sales.

    All the best Mick

Sure it was over 40k a few years ago and nobody wanted them and all the dies were apparently knackered. Still have some last batch lanes and they were crap both the pointer and bulldog ones.

Shame someone didn't start up the old Eley Wasp pellets again not the H&N style ones passed off as Eley Wasps. I wonder where those dies went.

Stay well away from them , several different names in use on the bay , nothing but rip off merchants , I'm surpised anybody is daft enough to buy anything from them , a while back they were selling the outer casing of the rekord trigger unit, used with some fairy tale description , it was only £39 , don't know if postage was free , but they are £15 brand new from Chambers , old airgin springs supposedly by make and model number, some were Titans, £20 per spring, £18.50 postage free from knibbs bay store , £16.55 each if you buy 2 , so just an idea of some of their bargains , the pellet maker was a real gem from them

I think some kit hit the bay a while back with what looked like Wasps sprinkled around in the pictures.

I’m happy to buy pellets in a tin ready made (short of the odd outing with the LEM mould) and spend the 30k saved on some more guns instead…

I cast a 1,000 LEM spitzers but you have to make a holder and shave the back of the slugs off to get great accuracy.

I wouldn’t have the patience to cast that many in a lifetime, let alone one/a few sittings. Right though that when cleaned up they can be superb in the right barrel.

Yeah i probably cast about that many too when i had my .177 innova was a real art to get the hang of it keeping the mould the right temp etc as i remember, stupidly sold the lem with the gun though.

Eley wasps were taken over by Rothery, originally made in UK but had issues with moulds so now made for them by H&N.

I think the only true British Pellet makers are Marksman (still in birmingham) and Eley (Rimfire ammo in Birmingham, but they also do expensive air gun pellets)
