    daystate airranger help

    hi all
need some advise on a daystate airranger 0.22
after trying a few different pellets in the gun and using a combro mk4 cb625 found the gun only doing just over 9.2lb
so took it apart to find it was using the sling shot system what i did notice there was no bushing in the top of the hammer spring
there was no leaks so gun is holding air ok so could it be the bushing that is missing from the hammer spring causing the low power as i have been told it should be at about 10lb and just above
also should say gun was brought second hand
    cheers tony

It could be just the breach seal. Check if the breach seal is still in place.

I have found that daystate hammer springs go weak over time.
There is little room for preload but you could try a couple of washers and see if there is room for a top hat.
If no room and all seals appear good, stretch the spring 5mm longer and try that.
    Repariere nicht, was nicht kaputtist.

If you've still got problems speak to Dave Brayford at SCR.

Older guns now, but still very good, and it should be easily capable of sitting happily at 11.5fpe with JSBs heavies, but always chrono it to make sure your on the right side of 12 for different pellets and giving a few 0.1s for temp shift.

I agree a new spring is probably the way to go, I don't like padding them out, and a stretched spring which has already lost it's strength is likely to degrade over time, for the price of one I'd just replace it and set it up right.

well it looks like the spring has gone weak or could even be the wrong one as i made a bushing for it and power has increased
