A sad story - but I guess we had better ban these too !!!

From the Voice of Truth - Today's SUN !!!

A FARMER has killed his wife with a slaughterhouse “gun”.

Wealthy Richard Parker-Morgan, 61, rang cops to say he had shot Brenda, 63, with a humane killer.

He then re-cocked the device, which fires a retractable bolt into an animal’s brain, and turned it upon himself.

Parker-Morgan survived and was arrested on suspicion of murder. But his condition deteriorated and he was critically ill in hospital last night. Detectives were waiting to interview him.

He is a well-known cattle breeder and show judge. Police believe the couple, of Shirenewton, near Chepstow, South Wales, had marital problems.

A friend said six-foot, 16st Parker-Morgan was “an imposing figure, withdrawn and hard to deal with”.

Detective Chief Inspector Harry Gamlin said: “It is a terrible tragedy.”

I saw this on the welsh news this morning. Apparently they had marital problems (i'd say a big spike in the head is a bit of a problem)

    I've...

...worked on humane killers in the past. This guy must have the constitution of a blinking shire-horse to survive one of them
One guy I came across had to have a large portion of his hand amputated after mis-firing one of these through it. Actually he was *****ing about and in my opinion it served him right, thankfully it was his hand and not somone elses

I assume it was a "high powered" humane killer?

Might it be that it was just the reverse of "marital problems" - and that this was in fact a terrible accident during some extreme conjugal bedroom antics?
