Practice, learn your ranges, practice, learn your windage/elevation and some more practice
But most of all enjoy it and have a laugh, without that there isn't any point in going in my eyes.

Best thing that I have learned. Don't wind yourself up when you miss. It really doesn't help and often makes things much worse.

Yep, I can agree with this hint. Biting of stocks, kicking trees and punching the floor help though...

goes for any type of shooting...

Zero your rifle before competing, don't assume. You'd be surprised how many DON'T do it!
Be confident with your kit, for me this is the most important thing.
Learn your ranges, and oh so importantly, learn the poa for each distance. This is down to chairgun and real practice.
    Enjoy yourself!
Don't aim to win, aim to improve.
    practice practice practice.

I would like to get in to this,i think it is finding some were, that the guys will laugh with you not at you, because if some does that with me, what ever im up to,i reply with a smile taking the mick out of my self to.
This only works of course with people who don't take them self's to seriously.
