    S410 mounts question

Anyone else had problems getting a scope low enough to fit, on a S410? I'm finding that the mag needs a certain height of mount to clear, but highs (for my 42mm scope) are way up there in the air - cheekpeice feels nice but I am looking along the rail

Suggestions for a make and size of mounts that will enable a 30mm tube scope to JUST clear the mag - anyone?

    Hi Gus

Tried meds (at least the ones you lent me) and they are still too high - by about 5 - 10mm. I have tried resting the scope on top of the mag just to see, and it still looks a little high, might just be ok. Have I really got that strange a head??? No comments please

Wondered if it is common and some folk prefer the 400 because of this prob, or maybe one manufacterer of mounts suits 410s best? I really don't want to swap for a 400 now I have finally got me a supadupa s410K...

The ones I lent you are highs, but lower than yours, if you see what I mean..!
Mediums are lower still, (well, they would be..!) Confused.? you will be.!

Ahhh that makes sense. Perhaps meds will be the answer then, but I can't risk buying some online and them not fitting exactly and our local gunshop is not so local (or very big..) so I was asking for info from other owners too, to see what mounts people are using.

mediums work for me, 1" scope though but i believe you would just get a 30mm on there.

Thanks all for the responses - do you think the brand makes any difference or are they all pretty much the same height for meds?

Bisley Medium 30mm double screw mounts...... £25 from somewhere like BAR.
Your scope has a 30mm tube, not the more common 1inch size, so get the right ones.
