So could be it's been misused? And maybe why it's already 2nd user? If after it goes wherever it's gone you get it back and are still unhappy, please let me know. I may be able to make you a lot happier. BSA are closed for stock taking at the moment, BTW.

Goes on the back of your normal dayscope.

Shame you're in Oldham, or I could show you just how useful these things are. Some people have already 'jumped ship' but may have been a bit premature in doing so. I thought to sell my 'standby' unit, but thought better of it.

These older style systems are half the price (new) of the later systems. The later ones may well be better, but they are in short supply, as well as being more expensive. I'm keeping my Gen I system...

My suggestion is you buy the (practically) unused system and use it for the rest of the season. Selling it for almost the same money next September....

I don't evangelise about this stuff 'cos I like typing. As I've said many times, there is very little to touch it for the money. Hook up a laser illuminator or lamp with filter, it transforms the range of the scope.

all well and good ...but how do they work with a normal scope???

Or do you mean XVD with what 'normal' scope? [How not-normal is a SWAT?]

    That is a bold statement

All that glisters is not gold

every technology has its good points and its bad points.

Have you asked what the pro's and con's of Digital NV might be yet ?

I havn't but there will be cons...

To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill

Not sure what the ocular diameter is, but I'd be very surprised if the adapter rings you get with the system won't accomodate your scope.

Not sure what the Sport scope goes for, but they are very much 'budget' end of the market. So not many seen on Daystate MK3's.

As I said before, the Ultra lends itself to the 'add-on' type of technology. I can't see how you can go wrong really with XVD-04S. Except that your scope may be just under the minimum requirement to get the best out of the XVD system. [Don't think there's a focussing ring on this scope?]
