I already did
It works a treat
My next article is on trigger mods
"Step 3 Pivot compression tube upwards, drive out pin holding in back block, and slide back block out."
Nige,
I'm having a problem getting the back plastic block off the compression tube. I can't see "the pin" mentioned above. Can you advise where it is ?
Looks to me like the black plastic end block is screwed into the compression tube....but maybe I'm mistaken
Paul.
Thanks for that. think i might try some of that next weekend.

Just had a quick read.
Nige you say it is 10 years old with a plastic cylinder yes??
Mine is 15 years old and has a metal cylinder?
Can you help me out there??
Cheers

Hi folks,
OK, the article was not written by me as I state on the page so I don't know about plastic/metal pieces or whether they changed or not, but the block is held in place by the knock-out pin...if you look HERE there is a blow up diagram which should help you out a bit. My block came out easily.
Best wishes,
Nige
If you can't see the diagram clearly, I can mail it.
Thanks nige the diagram is perfect.
like i said i might try it on mine cause it is very underpower.
Think i might crono it now just to see how much.

Thanks for the additional diagram, Nige - my compact cylinder is slightly different to the PR-45 shown. My compact cylinder has no pin through it holding the black plastic block in place. I think my block must be a screw fit in the cylinder (as is the other end which holds the piston rod in place). must just be very tight.Originally Posted by nige52
I did however find the cause of my leak - a perished "O" ring on the firing valve.
Worth mentioning that it's a good idea to apply a drop or two of silicon oil into the air intake hole on the cylinder periodically. his will help keep the "O" rings moist in use.
Paul.
