    Daystate mk3 A - FAC?

    Allo chaps,

Anyone got any info/experience of the mk3 A model in .22 FAC guise?

How many shots @ what power level?

I'd be looking at either JSB variants or the trusty Bizmag...

    Cheers,

    Dan

    Page 2 in an hour?

    OK - more specifics then

Can the later, nickel plated hammer assy be fitted to the A, and at what cost?

    What other refinements are available?

I bought one of the very first Mk3 A's 3 years ago. At that time only 12 ft lb models were available. Daystate were in the process of developing the FAC version. I bought mine from BAR and they agreed to send it back to Daystate when the FAC circuitry had been developed and was ready for release.

When the time came it was duly returned to Daystate, upon receipt they sent word back informing me that it was not possible to FAC a MK3 A since the circuit board had evolved into a totally different shape and was only going to be released as the (FAC) B model. Therefore it was not viable to perform the upgrade on my A model. BAR persuaded Daystate to alter the inletting and redesign my Mk3 A circuit board which they did. A testament to the excellent customer services that these two companies consistently offer.
When my Mk3 A was completed further word came back from Daystate that it had been one hell of a job and it took them a considerable amount of time and expertise to perform the upgrade. "They would never do another". I have therefore always been under the impression that mine is/was the only FAC Daystate Mk3 A in existence.

Performance is modest topping 23 ft lb's with Bisley Magnums and 21 ft lb's with 16 grainer's it is not adjustable (nor does it beep) . Accuracy is superb as is shot to shot consistency. In excess of 50 shots can easily be had from a full charge. It has never let me down. It has been soaked in rain. It is still running on the original battery. It is a thing of beauty. I like it more than any of my other firearms /shotguns. I have been wondering if it is now possible to get more power from it since the Mk3 has had a further 3 years of development. I will have to send it in for a service and find out. Trouble is I can't do without it.

    What cheeto said

The "A" was designed as a 12ftlb rifle ONLY .
I begged Tony to FAC mine but I guess it was after Cheeto's was done so they didn't want to do another.

Mine was number 0040 one of the 1st from the 2nd batch from BAR post Christmas.
If it's got tits or wheels it’s going to be expensive.....

I think BAR got more in than most shops , I went to them so i could pick out a nice stock

It was quite a buzz being one of the 1st to have such a radical rifle.
