Thread: Which quality pellets are always manufactured to a good standard?

Question Which quality pellets are always manufactured to a good standard?

Which pellets can you rely on whether you buy 1 tin a year or get through one every week.
Just thought I would ask the question as every so often on here someone posts a thread that reads along the lines of "so and so's in 0.177/0.22 bad batch".
It may help someone(like me) who is still trying to narrow down the pellet types I have to 1 or 2. I could then eliminate inconsistent manufacturers.
    Cheers.

    Thanks.
I haven't tried these as I have never seen them in any of the shops I've been in.

RWS superdomes work for me. .22 14.5gr very consistent and accurate (providing I am the same ) I've never used JSB exacts so cannot pass judgement on them. For my purposes the RWS work well as do crossman accupels I always expect 1 shot 1 kill, which I get, a miss is a f*$K up by me but it leaves fluffy bunnykins to walk away and die another day. Target work is only a build up for a hunt so no point in using other ammo.
Buy them from Ed in 5000 packs saves a couple of bob.

JSB Exacts have very high standard of quality. The number of bad pellets I have had have been very small and usually provoke a surprised comment from me. I usually shoot a tin a week.

However, just coz they are well made, little if any swarf and seem to travel well, dont mean they will shoot tight groups in your rifle.

Always start with the usual suspects and see what works for your rifle, There is NO alternative.

To one shot one kill, you need to seek the S. Kill only comes from Skill

I kind of agree but I find the Daystate FT slightly better than AA and Webley. The grouping at 50 yards just seem better. They must be made using different pellet moulds as the appearance do vary slightly.

have gone through a fair few thousand exacts and have maybe 1% bent or damaged!! they really are very good alot better than the other similar but pricer others.
give them a go in your barrel and see what you think.i have only used .22 but cant see why the pansey calibre would be any different

I wouldn't know how good they are at 50 yards I only use .22

Anyway I think the FT's are weighed to ensure consistancy or something?

Up to now I have used AA, Webley Lazadome or mostly Daystate FT. Various others i have had one tin of and not bothered again.
I will try some JSB's and Logun Penetrators/exterminators when i can get some.

    Cheers
