Goldstar underleaver breech seal removal help

Hi all, does anyone have some tips on removing the breech seal on my goldstar, I spent a short while tonight and did not achieve much in my attempts at removing this tricky little seal, I have various bent peices of wire, looking at getting some of those dental tools to pick it out.

A needle would do it, but the dental picks are better. Seal picks are inexpensive full set is only a few quid.

Thanks, I've ordered a set of seal picks, its probably the original O-ring still fitted so its rock hard and not keen to budge, the picks will get it out though.
