Hi, I took the moderator off the barrel of my S-16 to give it a quick routine once-over and while looking down the bore noticed a few very fine strands of fibre were protruding into where the pellet would fly. We're talking six or seven strands far thinner than a human hair.

While tiny, I suppose it only takes a minute amount of foreign body to upset a pellet's flight. I assume the fibres are from the baffle material.

Since I noticed this my shooting's been a bit off, although I don't know if this is due to lack of confidence on my part or a genuine problem.

£43 for a new one is a lot of cash if it's somehthing I don't need, but if you do feel it could be a factor then I'll happily pay the money and replace the silencer.

So what do you reckon?
