    WG760 NV quick review

Just a quick review with a couple of pics.
This is a digital add-on NV unit with a base-line 3x mag, which is 1x on the unit with a max of 3.5x (digital) on the unit, which change by 0.1 steps (hope that makes sense)

During the day it gives a colour view, then at night switch to B&W night vision mode, it has built in IR (led) with 3 power levels.

The DSA is designed to be left attached to the scope where it clamps via 2 hex screws, then the unit fits to the DSA via a clever push & twist bayonet, so you could use it as a spotter then pop it on to the scope to take a shot.

Unlike most add-ons the ocular focus of the scope does not change, instead there's a fast focus on the unit, twist until the scope ret is crisp & that's it all of 5 seconds to do, from there it's the scope sidewheel to focus as per normal.

Claimed range is 200yds with the built in IR, I'd say that's pushing it more like 180yds.

A big bonus is a built in camera both still or video, which could be very useful.

For me the main drawback is that 3x base mag you need a sidewheel scope which generally only come with a min 3x, so the min with through the unit is 9x which is a very reduced FOV.

the two rabbit photo's are; one at the minimum 1x with the scope at 4x, then with the digital mag up to 3.5x with the scope still at 4x, same rabbit same range.

    Ignore the date error

I hope to do a more in depth comparison with a D700 shortly.
