    lightest .177 pellets around

    any one know the lightest pellet around and where i can get it from? my daisy 880 doesnt like heavy weights.

    The lightest would probably be the new one from Gamo ("Raptor", I think it's called) but it is said to become inaccurate at the higher velocities it can attain in higher powered rifles.

    Check the weblog at PyramidAir, they've tested it.

    Eley wasps are 6.9 cheap and quite decently made...
    Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

    On the BAR website it says the Wasps are 7.9?

    RWS hobbies are 7gr. Use them in my CO2 pistol they seem to have the highest MV

    RWS Hobbies are great in Co2 pistols, and as Slacker24 says the MV is always

    IMHO I would say that SMK plinkers are the lightest .177 pellet, as they are made from plastic. As to if they are practical is another matter.

    My .177 Eley Wasps weigh 7.39 grains....

    RWS Hobby (flathead) 6.98gr.
    Crosman Accupell 7.92gr.
    BSA Elite 8.08gr.

    Gecos are pretty light i think

    But being honest i buy them for my cp88 cos they're the cheaper ones!!

    Strangely jsb 451s go best in my cp99,better than hobbys or ecopells must be cos there softer than most.

    I think prometheus make some at 6gr which fly expensively fast.

    Promethus Truncated 5.62grns, never seen them for sale though.
