Ian hello i had a look at the pic in your album and the wood seems thinner towards the underlever maybee with no step in it just past the front chequering.I have only seen it once in a shop and the word was cendralco or simular in a sort of rugby ball shape.I dont think it had any chequering either
Gecado maybe?

Could be ?????????????
Come on then Ian thro some light on this gun for me IE; is it a copy or ????And value of said rifle which is in better nick than the one in pic (woodwork wise anyhow) action has some light surface rust (due to it being stuck in a corner with no tlc / oil ) havn't had chance to fire it though( shop man said it was ok to bring the chrono in ) and check it.
Not been back yet but i found out that its a cousin of the diana / original / leash models.Any other info would be great including a valuation (ballpark).
Gecado. John Walters writes: ' This brandname was originally owned by G. C. Dornheim AG of Suhl. Allegedly liquidated in 1940. However, it is often encountered on airguns since 1945; as these also displaye the Mayer & Grammelspacher trademark. 'Gecado' has been used simple to camoflage attempts being made by M & G to market its own product'. It appears that Diana exported 'Gecado' models to commonwealth countries.
Valuation? That all depends on condition and how much someone wants one.

I`ve seen a Gecado Model 5 pistol which is plainly a rebranded Diana.Originally Posted by I. J.

manufactured 03 / 78 . power is low at 4.75 ftlbs so may need a spring / washer or relube and clean (i have ran a bit of oil down barrel to lube seal and will try again tommorow). Cocking is smooth and progresive with a little rattle as cocking lever goes over the spring(If done slowly) (there is some clunkyness if done fast). stock has some history marks but not shocking worst being sling hole and action has slight pitting due to bad storage.Front sight blade is missing and rear sight elevation screw.Tap is smooth and tightish Apart from this its all there in reasonable but well used condition and working.
I will try to add some pics in due course.

Maybe Midland Airgun Spares (01332) 874601 can provide the tunning bits (should be nearer 10 ft.lbs in .177 ) and missing parts.
