Thumbs up new member.can't decide first pcp

hi folks, just rekindled my affair with me trusty old hw77k after 20 year layoff great to see things on the airgun front have moved on so much & from what i can tell in such good health.glad i found this site you lot certainly know your stuff, logged on tues evening for first time & had baptism by fire - spent two hours reading messages about the demise of jsb's of which i've never heard of, better than my trusty old ely wasps i presume! anyway i've decided to fork out for a new fandangled pcp and have got my heart set on a hw100s.177 but superten bbc & regulated x2sports are also in the frame bit biased towards hw100 because 77 has served me so well, any of your learned observations/opinions would be greatly appreciated.cheers,dave. ps bugsy at 30-40 yds will be main recipient of lead in the head.thanks

    Hi Dave.

You won't do much better than any of the guns you mention. Have you the option of trying any of them out properly?

Your main use for it is hunting.
Only that the 100 is widely used in HFT, but the Super 10 is probably used more for hunting.

    Pete.

    Edit: It's hunting.

    Welcome to the nuthouse.

The HW100 is a heavy bit of kit, but very nice I would admit. The best bit of advice I can give is to go along to your local rifle club or shop and try a few different rifles out for yourself, and see which you like the best. The local club will have loads of memebers who will be more than willing to let you try their rifles.

Have you had a look at the AA410, Falcon Prairie, Daystate, etc etc etc. So many to choose from and so little time

P.S. The new fangled PCP thingys need a charging system, so don't forget to allow for a decent pump or bottle in the buying price.

If it were me, I'd get the bull barrel S10. Purely because if you want to uprate to 30 ft lb FAC later on, you can.

The 100 takes some beating at 12ft lb though, Dave.
