    Webley auction catalogue now online

For anyone interested the catalogue of the sale of Webley's airgun very large collection on June 14th is now up here. Go to search catalogue, special auctions, search Webley, choose complete section.

Edit: The way the web site is arranged is bizarre but if you persevere you can find pics of most of the rifles and pistols. I can't find pics of the MkII and MkI rifles though.

    Is this Webley's collection?

If so shouldnt it go job-lot to another museum or something?
Your work is both good and original. Unfortunately where it is good it is not original, and where it is original it is not good.

Couldn't agree more on the museum comment, but the company that owns Webley wanted the name, and this goes towards someone's bonus !

Phillip Webley's Indentures,.... oooo,..... Mk IIIs,.... oooo

If the auction house's website had been better presented I may have been inclined to have sussed out how the thing works. Probably just as well though....

I wouldn't mind the military style Osprey, but let's face it, we know these guns are going to go for stupid amounts of money. I wouldn't be surprised if one more-money-than-sense collector ended up buying the whole damn lot. BuddyBoy for example .

Seriously though, it's a sad end to a fine collection .

Contact Wallis & Wallis on: 01273 480208, for the full catalogue @ £10
Well worth it for any Webley collector.
Contains a very interesting foreword by John Atkins, which is basically a potted history of Webley.

    Ok, will do.

Looks like I was misreading this bit:

'Catalogues are now prepared on-line directly by Wallis and Wallis staff and are set 'live' at the appropriate time. Only live catalogues will be available for viewing from the 'Search Catalogue' option.'

    Damn the effects of beer.

Ten quid? That's probably why the website is so difficult to navigate. If it was better it might affect catalogue sales.
