This is an open HFT event, just turn up, book in and have fun. No need to be a member of NEFTA or the BFTA and no need to Pre-Book.
There are two sessions - first one starts at 9am, 2nd at about 11:30am.
It's a full 30 peg, 30 target HFT course shot to UKAHFT format and guidelines.
There are no winners as such, so no shoot-offs to wait around for etc, no trophies, and no presentation ceremony at the end.
We do run an award scheme though - Gold, Silver and Bronze merit badges for those that reach the required standards. These are at a cost that everyone can afford.
The price is just £3.50 for adults and £2.00 for Juniors (under the age of 15). Everyone's welcome, shooters and non-shooters alike.
Hope to see you all there

Good job I checked before I posted my thread, Bri.
Yup, looking forward to it as ever!

Get some uphill practice in guys. And downhill as well, GFTC has a very varied terrain and we have taken full advantage of this.
Good luck to all who attend the GFTC ground on the 13th.

I shall be there and this time I'm hopping to bring a few of "The Lads" along.

Lo there do I see my father. Lo there do I see my mother, and my sisters and my brothers. Lo do I see the line of my people back to its beginning. Lo they do call to me and bid me take my place among them, in the Halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever.

see you there Si and Ed.
I'll see if I can sort one out Andy, if not enter Dibb Lane, (junction with Leeds Road), Guiseley, Leeds in your say nav. I'll try that in mine and see if it works.Originally Posted by Andy006

See you all on Sunday

Just to reiterate...
These events are shot to the 2006 UKAHFT course setting guidelines - i.e. 8-45 yards, 15mm-45mm killzones etc. 30 targets, 30 pegs - 3 standers, 3 kneelers etc. The only very slight difference is that there aren't any shots marked as prone only.
And you can walk the course before you shoot itOriginally Posted by Brian.Samson
Well, yeah we generally don't have a problem with that until it starts getting abused. The UKAHFT events used to allow you to walk the course before an event, but then that started getting abused with people apparently going round with laser rangerfinders etc.Originally Posted by wOoDsTeR16
It's not an open rule of the Hunter series that you can walk the course beforehand, that's down to the individual hosting club to decide. If you want to have a mooch round at the course beforehand, it's good manners to ask one of the hosting club officials if it's ok and don't automatically assume that you have the right.
Just common sense and common curtesy really.
LS19 7 is good, can't vouch for the JE bit though. If you input Guiseley, Dibb Lane, junction with Milner's Road into your sat nav though it will take you to within spitting distance.Originally Posted by Brian.Samson
We at GFTC will not object to anyone having a butchers, but no suspicious packages to be carried.
Hot food will be available from the same van that supplied us at our Winter League shoot.
