    crosman 2260

hello all, im new here and iv just started getting into the sport
    i have a rather abismal B2 air rifle with a 4x20 scope
im thinking of upgrading to the CO2 powerd crosman 2260 so i can start target shooting at proper ranges, i wont be using the gun for hunting as i heard it does not have suficient power
my budget is well about £120
    cheers

A new 2260 isn't really worth the full price. A decent webley, bsa or weihrauch springer would probably be better for your budget.

The cfx already comes with a moderator, but on spring gun, IMO It isnt worth fitting one, they dont do that much to silence it as the noise comes from the action of the spring moving forwards but you wouldn't be able to fit one to a cfx anyway Take that extra money and spend it on a scope

You'll find it difficult to fit one to the CFX because it's fitted with a large plastic moulding which at first appearance looks like a silencer. It is in fact part of the underlever latch up. To be honest when stood downrange in a safe area of course the CFX is not a noisy gun, or at least mine isn't. Most of the noise from a springer is generated by the mechanics, again my CFX and my buddies Hunter both seem to shoot quietly both have had many pellets through them and are fully run in.

    Hope this helps
