    Please tell me something about this gun - HW35L

    I need info - how old is it?

    * No safety
    * Rekord triggerunit
    * Thin black buttplate
    * No washers around barrel
    * 13 mm rails

    Serial No is: 13 52 15

    It makes 650 fps with CPL, differs 19 fps in a string of 15 shots, quite accurate too.

    HW35 without a safety catch makes it pre late 1977. Cant date it any closer with the serial number maybe Hull Cart. Co could help there.

    I will drop them a mail and see whats happen.

    I send a mail to Feinwerkbau and asked about the age of my 121 Sport and they gave me a swift reply.

    Great service there..

    Just been checking with my books. Breech shims only fitted after '73. Breech seal changed to synthetic in the late '60s. Mid fifties to late 60's 35s had knurling on the end cap.
    Good luck with your enquiry with Weihrauch.

    My interpretation of "knurling" in laymans terms is an engraved chris'cross pattern machine, a chequered type pattern.

    an example

    you can also do a search on google images... knurl

    I see..

    I don not have this "knurling" on the endcap, it looks like a modern one except from that there is no safety.

    Didn't the 'L' stand for 'Luxus'? IIRC.

    'L' does equal Luxus which is a standard action with a walnut stock <img src="http://jsramsbottom.co.uk/bbs/e/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="Big Grin" width="15" height="15"><!--graemlin:--> whereas the Export had a walnut stock with a longer 22 inch barrel.
    Yours should also have a leather piston seal if it hasn't been retro fitted with a nylon one.
    I'm surprised BSF NUT hasn't joined in this discussion with his knowledge on the subject.

    Yeah - im waiting for the Nut too...

    Got some good info from a fellow at the 54 board.

    According to him the letters are as follow:

    35B = beech stock, standard model
    35E = exportversion
    35EB = Beeman version
    35L = as B but with walnut stock
    35LS = thumbhole-hole stock

    Please fill us in BSF-Nut..
