ive had one and iirc the sweet spot started at about 170 bar .
however i allways filled to 190 bar as i was only shooting up to 30 yards and it didnt make much difference to POI .

Hi guys just a quick question. I picked up a S200 in .177 today. Could you tell me what is the best charge pressure to hit the sweet spot in this rifles charge. How many shots with good consitency are you getting?
Many thanks
Dai.

170 bar
40 shots

Top of the curve will probably be around 135-140 bar.
About 40 shots within 20fps of each other.
Cheers lads, only had gun today. Your ideas tend to go along with what I started to test this afternoon. I found with a 190 bar charge POI stated low then crept up. At 180 bar POI stayed quite constant over a good number of shots ( I was enjoying my self so much with this accurate little gun I forgot to count!)
Thanks
Dai.

I usually use 190 bar however 170 - 180 is about right for ultra consistent target shooting! Why no split the difference and go for 180bar.

When I first handled an S200, I just had to have one. Of course, I ended up with a .22, rather than the proper calibre, because that was all that was available.
That said, I use it with H&N hollows against squirrels, and I have found it to be quite up to the job. I've never tried it on rabbits as its a .22 and therefore incapable of reliable shots over 45 yards, but up to 30 yards, it is at least as good as my S400.
In my flat, I can just about get a 12m range, and I'm set up for 10m target pistol, but I have fun here with rifles too. I must say that the S200 is the better perfomer on the home range, but I'm not sure why.
Thanks everyone. It's a lovely afternoon here in Gower, work finnished so I guess it's play time. This S200 is getting addictive.
Cheers
Dai.
