Vaguely remember mention of 2 stroke engine oil - think thats what TD used to use when he used to shoot, ages ago!
A little while ago someone asked about the above and was given a substitute; can anyone remember what it was? I vaguely remember 30w non-detergent oil; can anyone confirm or deny this?
Please don't say "do a search" - I have!

I don't think I want to know what he used it for....Originally posted by Numb Nut

Thanks for confirming my failing memory - is there a problem finding this stuff, then?

I have not looked to hard for this oil, just in local car spares places, seen classic car oils ND,but oil to thick.
two stroke oil, especially cheaper basic stuff, like the red coloured Texaco oil may be OK,next time I need some for my bike will get this brand & check the info on the bottle.
Ray....
Let me know what you find out, Ray; I've always got 2T oil hanging around for strimmers etc., and it's usually fairly cheap - save the good stuff for the bikes!
This should keep those Crosmans happy.
