    RWS Pellet Box

    Tom
The yellow plastic box you described used to be purchased by serious 10 metre target shooters.
They held individually packed Meisterkugeln match wadcutter pellets.
My daughter used to shoot in the National Squad and she used to use them.
They were subject to tight quality control by RWS and were quite costly.
I used to inherit her old empty boxes and fill them from a tin for my own shooting (as I spent all my money on her shooting )Next time I see her I will see if she has any old boxes left. (she packed in shooting a few years ago). If you want you can pm me your address and if we come accross one I will post it to you.

    WOW thanks John

LOL for the life of me i couldnt remember what the flat headed pellets were called.

Were the pellets hand picked or automatically put into the what looks like card inserts from the advert i have next to me

Did the come in 5 packs of 100 or sold as individual packs?

Was your daughter a great target shooter? can i ask what her name is?

thanks for all of the information John and i will send you a PM now

I think this will be my pellet questions thread

Does any of you know of anyone who has any Sussex SABO Bullets?.I believe these came in tubs of 100 but the tub had a divider in the middle

It says in the advert from a magazine i have here that they cost £1.85 including VAT , currently available in copper finish .22/5.5mm cal. only

If you have anymore information about these pellets or know anyone selling a tub then could you send me a PM

    Sabo's

    Hi again Tom

Airgun Sabo Bullets were made by Sussex Ballistics Ltd.

I have a container that I bought back in the 1980's with about 60 left

They were, as you said, sold as 100 copper coated steel bullets with a black plastic parachute for each one (to protect the rifling). There is also a black biro - shaped applicator to put them into the breech. They come in a circular, clear plastic container
I bought them for a FWB 127 and when I tested them for accuracy, they were no better than some of the better lead pellets available at the time.
At 2p/bullet, I just couldn't bring myself to use them. (Mind I was living in Yorkshire at the time ) They do come up occasionally on fleabay.
If you would like them, pm me an offer.

    John
