I think they are struggling on this one, Koz!
How about 9 Bushnell Elite 3200's and a Varmint 2.5-10x42?
Not high end but it's a start.

Endless?Originally posted by HARDRAR
The list of Hft suitable scopes is endless, at both ends of the price scale and remember hft is loosley based around being able to utilise an alround sporting/hunting rig, not some topend mega bucks customised rig.

I muself have not yet ventured into HFT yet, will do soon
though.
As for scopes "well" when you look at the rules eg not beeing
able to adg scope, witch i find to be very competative.
you may as well use a middle ov the road scope 3=12-40 or
4-12-40.
I am sure i will be corrected on this one
cheers lads manxi
Both great for the job IMHO, also the snipers are OK too...Originally posted by JohnnyLarge

Some additional "half-milldot" aim off points woudl be handy too, as milldots are a bit "course" for holdover within 50 yards
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
That's why I have gone back to 30/30 ret.Originally posted by BuddyBoy

I use both Paul, but find that milldots are more usefull for bracketing, whilst still allowing "room" for holdover without obscuring the target at ranges greater than 45 yards.
Up to 45, duplex is fine
See you at the Easter bunny bash ?

I'll probably shoot PCP and recoiling this year as my TX200HC is getting better all the time. gonna give Bob a run for his money.
I use a 10x version and it did well in the number of HFT shoots including last years 'Bunny Bash'. For my pellet preference (.177 7.9g Premiers) with the rifle zeroed at 45yds, this 1st mildot up is the highest the pelelt will travel (at about 28yds).
Looking forward to the Bunny shoot this year

I aimed at the right place at the wrong time.

hi lads
how much are these nikko 10-42 scopes where is the best
place to buy one or an alternative
cheers lads manxi
I was toying with the idea of getting the 8x42 Nikko Gold Crown, but I don't know how much light they let in as opposed to the Nikko 4-12x50 I am using at the moment.
The Nikko Snipers were completely different to the gold crown's, they are a superb scope but sadly are no longer produced (or so I was lead to believe). I bought one of the last two 'new' ones from BAR about 12mths ago!
As for any alternatives ..... not too sure on that one, as the Tasco 'SS' range are also out of production - perhaps somebody else could help you out on that question. The Snipers were not cheap though, I paid £299 for mine (but very pleased with it).
Sorry i could not be of any more assistance
Alan
I bought a Nikko Sniper 10 x 42 on here a few weeks back, a superb bit of kit
BAR still list them for sale Sniper
Carl .. AA S410K Nikko Sniper 10x42, AA TX200SR Simmons ProAir 4-12x40, Venom 97K Nikko Sniper 10x42.
I stand corrected - given duff info thanks Chewie
