    Thinking of buying a rifle

I am thinking of joining the elite few of people who own a precharged air rifle, not sure which one yet, but that isnt the question I have.....

I have obviously been research the equipment needed for said kit but havent found out the following.....

    1. "I understand the concept of pumps and buddy botlles, but is there a reason that a common spray compressor cannot charge a buddy bottle?"

    2. "How long does it take to charge a rifle with a pump?"

Please excuse my ignorance, very new to this subject

yes it wont give u the pressure and its hasnt got a moisture trap as well so u will put damp air in your bottle, which will rust it

try doing a search i would of though somebody had already tryed it

    absolutely right

if you use a spray compressor (fitted with a water trap filter), you will eventually knock the b'oll'ocks out of it anyway.
charging a buddy bottle with a stirrup pump is ****** hard work. if you are thinking of getting a stirrup pump then in my opinion forget about getting a rifle with a buddy bottle.
the diving bottle system is the way to go for the lazy and sensible people like me
good luck with your choice and happy shooting

    Daystatesman & Cooltrax,
It will depend on what type of shooting you want to do and how many shots you need to achieve your intention.
If you shoot any target discipline where you shoot a lot of pellets in a short space of time then the divers bottle is the way to go.
If, like me you mainly hunt then a pump is not so bad as you shoot a few pellets a couple of times aweek and can recharge in between shoots.
Cooltrax - please don't view PCP owners as being "elite" nor "Elitist" we are just the same as you, using the kit that is available in a unlicenced form, to achieve an aim.

You just need to plan ahead so you buy the right gear for the type of shooting that you expect to be doing.
