Do as I did, keep the .20 and fund the MFR by selling anything else you value less (wife, kids, dog etc) . If you get a price on the reg, could you let me know please ?
Your views please,
Im looking to upgrade my MkI Rapid 0.20, Basically all i would like is to have a regulator fitted as well as a barrel shroud, plus then i'll have to get a 200cc bottle and 200cc bipod clamp etc..
Would it be worth doing this to it, or should i just PX for a new MFR?
What are the costs involved? Was looking towards Mr Bowkett for the barrel shroud? And Ben Taylor as he's local for the regulator?
Thanks
JB

I'm telling you it moved!
Or you could buy my Mfr in the sales section

Only regulator I had seen for mk I is by these guys for around £155 for 12ft/lbs or £165 for FAC

I'd keep the Mk I, probably cheaper. Incidentally, why do you need a barrel shroud like MFR, isn't a Logun silencer up to the job at 12 ft/lbs??

I'm afraid to say it isn't that quiet, ive been thinking about getting a shroud for a while, and have recently been shooting with Chilly on here, who has a Viper, and his is about 20 times quieter than my Rapid, so thats kind of swayed me even more to get a shroud fitted.
Does anyone know how much Mr Bowkett charges for a barrel trim and shroud added?

Hi
I got my .22 Mk1 regulated by Ben Taylor and am very pleased with it. He also told me I can charge it to 232 bar as they use hardened valve seats. I get well over 400 shots per charge ( so many I stopped counting ) I dropped it in one Saturday and picked it up the following saturday. He's a nice bloke to deal with and he's also worked wonders on my Mk2 rapids stiff bolt and my mates Slr98. Highly recommended
Hope this helps
Mark
its easy to retro fit a reg to the mk1,all you need to do is add a undercut for the air flow, the harder valve seat is only going back to the same material as used on the early regs.
