Well the time has come to start rolling my own,was going to use the same load as the guy who's been doing my ammo so far.However as unique seems to be impossible to get a hold of i'm looking for other powders and loads.Any idea's would be welcome,it would for .44 mag case and 240gr head.

Right guys no vit 340 or bullseye locally so any other idea's.
Any thought's on winchester might be able to get my hands on some of these.
Alliant is back in the country, just took delivery of 2 tubs of Blue Dot, my favourite, from Weston & Weston - £6 delivery charge I think it was. I use 7.5gr in my .357 mag and mates down the club rate the same powder for .44 highly, staring load is 13.1gr with 240gr jacketed bullet according to my Lee manual but for short range target i would go with nearer 8-10gr.
If you wade in, you have to risk the water coming over the tops of your wellies...
I use noblesport gm3 i know this powder was intended for ,410 shotgun loads
but it works well in .44 mag try 5Grn give or take .5 Grn
It burns very clean and is quite cheap.

Hi,I use vit 140,in all my loads,that is my .223,.308,k98,and my marlin .357 .its a good all round powder.And if you download the loading data from vit, you'll have all the info you can handle for starting loads for just about every cal under the sun.Enjoy!
The clubs order of bullets has finally arrived so will be starting loading soon,no real rush as that's us finished til february.
