Really nice! The Airsporter is probably the prettiest air rifle ever made and that is a beautiful example!

A really interesting thread. My first gun was a BSA .22 Airsporter and I loved it! Mays of London is also one of my local gunshops and where I normally go for gunsmithing work courtesy of the excellent George. As Nick says above, the Airsporter has never been surpassed in terms of looks. The Prosport comes close but doesn't match the classic lines of the Airsporter.

Incredible to think of the provenance of that rifle, born out of an imaginative concept and made as a prototype without financial incentive. No wonder it shoots well. It is clear the gunsmith has lavished care and attention to detail on it, which is only right if you are trying to sell an idea. As for price I don't think there is one. If you are selling it I'd take it to an auction house, with May's name on it it will generate wider interest than our shooting community.
