Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day..
The Third or fourth edition of John Walters' The Airgun Book
The Airgun from Trigger to Target by Gerald Cardew & Son
These are essential reading! You can get them off the auction site or amazon.co.uk occasionally.
The ancient
Smith's Gas Air and Spring Guns of the World is a good read too, but it is from the late 1950s.
Co2 Pistols & Rifles - James E. House
Air rifle and air pistol, maintenance and repair - Q.Cobham
And of course The Collectors Guide to Air Rifles - Dennis E.Hillier
cant beet old copies of the airgun magazines john darling wrote in them for years amongst other hunting writers, learned alot from them as they seemed to write about the relevant seasons
The Blue Book Of Airguns by R. Beeman and John Allen.

The hunting ones I can take or leave, make a good read but I don't feel the need to keep them or re-read.
Cardew - From Trigger To Target.
Hiller - Collectors Guide To Air Rifles and Air Pistols
Beeman - Blue Book Of Airguns
All books that I try to keep to hand for quick reference. I also have a copy of Wesley - Air Guns And Air Pistols kicking around.
