    so annoying

hey, iam very annoyed because on my shooting ground the place i shoot is a steepish hill covered with brambles, the rabbits come onto the open area and i shoot them, they roll down the hill and get stuck in the brambles, its so annoying as i have to either leave them or wade through

anyone have anything annoying they want to say about the shoot

also last weekend i settled down to go shooting, and the army started marching past for 2 hours singing!!! F!@king army b@$$tards

    Shoot

I reckon that between brambles and GORSE, life's a 'BITCH!' when out on one's shoot. I shoot ona golf course with me m8 Flintlok and its heavy with both brambles and REAL heavy duty HIGH gorse bushes, not to mention, hills valleys and brooks and those sand pits are real nasty at night.

That said, nutter's with golf ball's are even worse, than singing squaddies. Especially when one's sitting quite like in ones hand built hide. When there's this WHISH - CRACK and through the gorse hedge, its about 20 foot high, comes this white meteor, bops of the hide pole and skoots oft out onto the green and nearly goes in the hole.

Followed, 20 minutes latter by its owner, damn near shot the clown as he comes through a SMALL gap in the gorse hedge, like bull ina china shop. " Seen anything of a golf ball mate?" he asked me plaintively. " White round thingy with dimples?" I ask politely, before he could answer, "It's on the green says I! Bounced orft me hide pole and its about 4 inches from the hole in middle of the green, over there".

I will NOT repeat what he said, but it had some crude words in it, mostly about reproduction and, IF his words had been fire, there'd be no gorse left.

    Saddle Tramp.

PS. He came back after potting it and bought 4 of me bunnies of me for a £5 each. POSH chap! Bet he got his hands dirty, I'd not squeezed out the wee or paunched them.

Try putting 75 targets plus strings out for a two day comp in a dense(ish) wood. I nearly broke my ankles several times today.

Shooting on the golf course while the golfers are about...there's a new one. Have you whacked any of them by accident yet ?

If your hide is too camoflauged, leading to incoming golf balls, then why not make it more visible ?
How about a dayglo orange hide, or maybe a Western Town themed construction, with a " Saddletramps 'Ol Time Shootin Parlour, Pesky Varmints Beware " sign in bright colours over the door ?

Singing squaddies, scopes falling off, it's no wonder that airgunners are viewed as muppets by 99% of sane people
I wouldn't give you lot anything more lethal than a balloon on a stick

Awesome Just a matter of time wasn't it...

Although I do hope you're not suggesting we give these balloons on sticks weapons to just anyone, what would the Anti's (that are reading this, right now etc) think of that? Please take responsibility for your posts.
A newbie might think he's legal to buy a balloon on a stick and use it in his own back garden, or worse still take it out to show his mates. You and I both know that balloons on sticks in back gardens is a receipe for disaster and that the newbie's are the future of ballooning on a stick.
Also, what should I fill my balloon on a stick with?
...and how many times can I stick a pin into it?
Which is the best ballon out of the HWRed and the TXBlue?

....and can I get a Don Robinson thumbhole stick for FT?

    and so on

OK, now i've stopped pi$$in' meself, this raises a couple of serious issues. I've just bought a new balloon on a stick, big huge really powerful one with Clifford the Big Red Dog on it, and I believe it may be too powerful. I took it out on one of my shoots and got a bunny early on, and although I didn't get a clean kill, it did talk in a high squeaky voice for several minutes. I need to either get it put on ticket or hand it in. I've already phoned the FLO and asked for forms for BOASC. (Work it out). What do you guys think ?

I asked the balloon seller if it was one of these newly illegal TAC balloons but he said it wasn't.

What makes this post worse is that I'm sober !!
