i might be forced to give up atheism.
"Although the group expects opponents of hunting to view its church with scepticism, Mr Gardner, the publisher of The Countryman's Weekly, who lives in Tavistock, Devon, insisted that it was genuine.
Need I say more?
This did make me laugh today - it's just crazy enough to work as well!
Would that mean that members of the church wouldn't need to wear crash helmets whilst riding their motorbikes - they could wear a camo baseball cap instead on the grounds of religion

I found that Jedi thing that went round in the media at the last UK (and by the looks of it, other places) census quite interesting, due to some of the contrasting philosophical points it raises...
I think the original concept was as a sort of protest against having to hand over personal information, people being treated as numbers etc.
However, to me the decision to use the "Jedi" (a fictitious religion representing a multi-billion dollar brand, ie. lucasarts) was the most interesting thing. It seems like all everyone who participated did was swap their role as passive, sheep-like subjects of government for the role of passive, sheep-like, brand-worshipping consumers via the middleman of media puppet master-like sensationalism.
You exist to purchase commodies.
If this became reality then it would totally screw up the govenments aim of banning shooting we and our sport would be untouchable
