If you can find one then the Tasco World Class Plus 8-32X50 is a beauty. Fine crosshair with 1 moa dot and it's Hakko.
Hang on, silver finish ? Have you turned f**ing gay or something ?

...Nah, only joking
I'm after a variable mag scope ( high mag ). Preferably target dot reticle ( no mildot etc but could live with a fine Leupold type duplex ). PA adjustable (side or objective is OK) and target 'dial in' type turrets. The fly in the ointment is, it must have the silver finish...oh, it's got to be suitable for .223 aswell - so no stags (Stuck Together with Airfix Glue)
Don't want to pay the earth, around £300 is the top line. I've looked at the Leupold range but they're a little out of reach (even imported), for the chap who's after it....
I've looked on all of the sites I know to but have so far have come up with nowt suitable. So some suggestions would be very well received.
Thank you, Craig

....Ooooh, just look at the state of those curtains...
Me? Gay, have you gone mad?
For a bloke up the shop mate, wants to fit it to a silver actioned C/F for target stuff (so it might've been an idea to add recoil proofed to my original post...)
Just sent you a 'TXT MSG' by the way...

You get the scope, i'll drop it in the acid and watch it fizz.
I'm already going to offer the 'primered version' as a suggestion mate

D&R has the Leupold Vari-X II 6-18*40 AO with target dot in Silver for $374 (may be on closeout though). May squeeze in under your budget after shipping, duty, vat and coversion to £?
http://www.dnrsports.net/miva/mercha..._Code=LEU49635
other than that most silver scopes seem to be 3-9 or 4-12 mag or thereabouts from Bushnell, Swift etc.
Edited to add, Weaver Grand Slam 6-20X40 in black and silver is $375 from Straightshooters:
http://straightshooters.com/weaver/wgslam62040.html
again may squeeze through the budget constraints on import.

Maxis, I think you've cracked it mate - nice one.
( I hadn't got any info on D&R)
Well that fits the bill really - just one thing though, do you know if they are OK about dealing/shipping to the UK?
Thanks again - Craig

Craig,
All they need is payment and a statement confirming that the goods are allowed to be imported. I ordered a scope & a chrono last week and they say delivery will be 5-7 days. Order over the net and they'll email you with the statement request and shipping costs, ($17 for a 4kg load).
