    Chronos

I need to get a new Chrono for club use.

It should be easy to use outdoors and portable but above all reliable.

Apart from the Combro (got one and love it - but not suitable for this what do you all recommend - there does not seem to be many on the market.

I have yet to see an ideal "club proof" chrony. We have a pm110.
What ever you get make sure it is well shielded for club use. Muppets abound when a chrono is free to use!

Where do you get them from?
Is there some magical elf that visits gun clubs and sells em for a few toadstalls?

we use a prochrono chronograph, at our club very easy use as long as you can use a calculator or you can always cheat and find a velocity conversion chart

but these little things go for around the £100 mark (inc del)

and if you want to push buttons and see the fancy things it does instead of just reading the shot to shot readings, theres pleanty enough to keep you busy on these long summer days

though i not been able to use any others bar chrono, i would rate this bit of kit pretty damn high!

hope this gives you a little more to think about

    all the best

Thanks for the replies, I am willing to spend up to a couple of hundred for the right machine.

I've looked at the SKan, but it isn't portable. Iv'e also seen the pro Chrono and F1Chrono but don't know how good, accurate and reliable they are.

I'll have a look at the Target tronics kit.

    Thanks

Have a look at the CED Millennium Chrony

Approx £130 from Sporty, needs a tripod to stand it on though.

I take it then that Target tronics chrono's are no longer available new or repairable, or are they still trading from France.
