Im not a city "type" but work in the area.... Where would the competition take place?
Its not like theres a range close by!
Other than that, Im sure I could get 5 shooters together.

Just thinking as I pottered home on the scooter that there must be plenty of City types who might want to get into target shooting if the opportunity arose, we have stuff like 5 a side and netball and other terminally dull stuff, why not an inter-company shooting league? It would certainly get more people on board.
Any thoughts?

Great idea Zanx,
are you thinking of indoor (6 & 10 mtr) or outdoor?

One Shot = One Kill
Engin, Liverpool St Station
No seriously, isn't there a range at Wood Street or is that just for plod?
Aquarius, I was thinking maybe Lea Valley, it's have to be a weekend jobbie though. Just thinking that those who currently shoot might get bored with shooting for the sake of it and might appreciate a little bit of an edge to their experience. Probably loads of Yanks in the City gagging to shoot at something as well
Liverpool St station sounds like fun, especially as the amount of "Plod" I see coming through there every day seem to be armed and looking for AQ terrorists!
Snow hill City police station has a range, but that is strictly forthe police as far as I know. I will make enquiries from my end and see if there is any way we can get access.
If it going to be a weekend job, then there are three clubs that I know of within about an hours travel of Central London where, with the help of BBS Members, we may be able to sort something out
1. BFTO at Bisley
2. The Swanlet club (sorry gents but I cant remember its name, even though it is close to where I live!).
3. Lea Valley.
Any thoughts?
Please advise

PS: We might need a prize of some sort to encourage participation.......
PPS: Charity shoot?
Engin, just a warning, I'm good at ideas but REALLY BAD at following them up, just so you know what kind of muppet you're dealing with.
How do other shooting leagues work? Points system? Might be best to draw it all up before spreading the word, I think all the boys will come out of the woodwork once word gets about.
FWIW London Transport used to have a rimfire range at Baker Street station. Don't know about today.
