The more modern CO2 Makarovs are manufactured as a separate entity to the fullbore model but do share some parts.
Early one's I wouldn't know but there are some differences to the present models.
Well i can say that the recoil spring used to be the same as it's full bore brother and that the the slide did close on me once and trap the the web of my left hand in the ejection post. Quite an interesting experience watching a makarov dangle from your skin while your brain thinks about helping you out of your predicament (and takes it's sweet time about it too!).

I shot it down my club a few weeks ago after using my black powder pistol the faces on the guy's was a picture, as they thought at first I was using the real thing

How much are they now??? I haven't seen one for sale in ages..(new)

If you need new seals try Mays of London.

My brand new one 3 days ago cost me £95 ordered by my local'ish RFD for the black standard model.

Some RFD's have the damn cheek to charge £150!! for them, and from what I can gather all the RFD's seem to order them from the same place I think the supplier is 'sportsmarketing'.

Lock the slide back using the hold open, remove (or at least partly drop) the magazine and you can load single pellets directly into the barrel using tweezers through the ejection port.

Fiddly, and the view is a bit restricted, but it does work.

I like Red Dot`s thinking on this, the lead balls will tend to deform ,rather than richochet,so there`s a real safety(and accuracy) bonus here..Also I wish I`d bought a Makarov when they were easier to get.I`ve tried one and honest to God it feels so close to the real thing, after all Baikal State factory makes service pistols on the same production line as the co2 version.

Get one , no get two ;and send one to me!!

you cant buy it at all, it was spare when i did my 16inch barrel conversion on my drozd.
you could get an old .177 barrel and have it machined down to the same dimensions but longer, probably your only choice , or you could put an add on the mp661k forum for an old drozd barrel

    Few mods to mine

Pearce aftermarket grips are much more comfortable than the standard ones.
