    Predom rifles (not pistols)......

I have heard of their pistols (walther copies) but a colleague at work has just advised he has a Predom air rifle he bought new in the mid seventies. I suggested he bring me a picture and if it looked simple I would service it for him. Does anyone know anything about their rifles??????

I just bought one off of Gunbroker, unfortunately it was more of a basket case (missing the piston!) that I thought it would be so I decided not to work on it until I have weeks to waste reverse engineering a new piston. It's a KL141. The quality is a step above a similar Slavia (similar to a 618, etc).

The cocking linkage is milled from solid, less stampings and more parts machined from solid generally.

Having seen the quality, I'm going to be looking for them in the future. Just with a piston...

Predom Lucznik, Poland. Very basic rifle. Ive only seen one example

I agree with John Walters (The Airgun Book) when he states 'Their quality was not especially impressive ...'

    Well, I didn't buy it.

Yeah, but that I can fix...fixing is fun, making replacement parts without one to copy...not so much fun.

    Polish Airgun Makers

Quite a few Air Arms models are apparently made in Poland.
Just a shame they're delivered by hand.

Wasn't it Logun or Brocock who arranged a factory in Poland??

    Polish Air Arms

    Hi averageplinker
Don't really know but I'm happy to be corrected by more knowledgable forum members. Apparently Predom ended airgun production to make sewing machines in the late 70's.
    Cheers Mick
