a photo would help
Hi,
I'm tyring to find out a make of a pistol I had when I was younger. Unfortunately I dont have any pics and will have to describe it.
Italian I think, .177, very short barrel, wooden grip extending to beneath the barrel, sort of like underlever cocking in a rifle except this was overlever cocking in a pistol
Probably a very poor description
Have never seen one since but would like to, sentimentality and all that...
Any ideas?

Sounds like an old Diana I had as a yoof, .!77 overlever, barrel broke up to accept pellet then was held down by the overlever. Looked & felt like a cut down rifle and was all I could afford. Took out a lot of rats on the canal bank with it. Sorry no Piccie. Choice between gun or camera. Was a no brainer!

you've possibly hit the nail on the head with that targetbunny, your description (much better than my own) seems right, it was like a cut down rifle... Have to find a pic now... may be some time and it might involve going in the attic...
Hmmm, no pics. Looks like it may be a diana mk4 with the front sight shroud removed though.

Yeah sort of like that but I think someone must have taken the front sight shroud off of mine,
Cheers boys!
