Has asked me to say he will no longer be needing the table which he has paid for but keep the money towards the event
Many thanks to our host JSRamsbottom who has kindly provided a very nice scope and mounts as a prize for one of the shoots on the day.

Is it still possible for me to book half a table, John? Please PM, phone me or text me to let you know how you would like payment. I already have your address. Many thanks.
Thanks for letting me know Baz

Tables
Our club have plenty of tables(small and large) for anyone else who would like to sell airgun equipment on the day.
Just pm me if you want one.
A table could be useful to a club to sell equipment they no longer use or need

Hi
Maybe I missed it in a senior moment, but where is the fayre to be held?
Mention is made of 'my local club' but as one who does not know all local clubs in that area I do not know which is being referred to. A trawl through the thread pages has drawn a blank...
So where is it, please, as my daughter and I intend to come along to suport the 'sellers' and have some fun in the competitions.
'pre-war' ... is that pre 1939 or 1914 as I believe we could do both?
Cheers, Phil
Hi Phil
I have tried to save a map from Googlemap of the range location but with no luck so far. I will however persevere.
The range is in the Dowry Hill quarries which is where we run our field target shoots(2 or 3 a year)
This is about half a mile outside of Groby village and is on the Newtown Linford road, just off the A50.
The location is described on the flyer, see below -

I will also show this link in post 1, but hopefully I will work out how to show a map on here shortly
We are next to Groby Pool car park and on the LHS of the road when going towards Newtown Linford from Groby
With regard to the 50 yard competition, pre-war will be before WW2
I hope to see you there
John

Thanks John ... just what was wanted.
We shall find you.
Cheers, Phil
As an extra to the previous message, I just found you, or at least 'linford newton lane' using multimap.
Just enter linford newton lane, groby into the search facility.
Cheers, Phil
The Airgun Fayre is a great idea and I hope it will be a big success. For sellers, it is far less hassle than selling piecemeal through the post. For buyers, it will bring together some great items for sale. Plus a chance to shoot, too!
Thanks for link to advert/flyer Danny which I have now shown in the first post in this thread and below.

SHOOTS:
The woodland shoot will be limited to 40 yards and there will be 3 classes for scoped pre-charged, scoped spring rifles and for open sighted rifles.
There will also be a standing silhouette shoot (turkeys chickens and rams) for open sighted rifles only with ranges up to 25 yards approx.
There will be a 50 yard target shoot for open sighted spring rifles with pre-war and post war classes(any shooting position)
And there will be a 20 yard rifle and pistol target shoot (standing position)
Serowman(Roger) will also supervise an archery shoot for complete beginners
