Fancy shooting your air pistols & rifles a bit more, then guy's & gal's come visit us at theUBC for loads of fun competitions for all types of air pistols and rifles.
Thats because you've been buggering about on jollies with some strange pistol group, and the weather's been bad. Don't mind getting soaked at a serious event, but not just for plinking.
Thought I might wander down tonight actually - get the dreaded Prosport zero'd in for the Southern Hunters this weekend. Missed all of the 15mm kills last Sunday at WLR, so must be the gun : can't POSSIBLY be because I'm a crap shot !!
I'll put the open sights back on the Steyr for this fixture.

Well, I decided to give it a crack this lunch.
After 4 starts where I hit between 2 reds with the first shot(do I even score 1?) I managed to get stuck into a 65.
Jesus! the black don't help much,...... so dark I couldn't get a bead on it, just guessed.
Maybe worth thinking about a broader white line between them Jim, I'd rather have a slightly smaller target but with a clearer outline. (just my opinion for what it's worth)

Serious point raised by Firestorm last week which wasn't answered - what do you score if you hit the white lines between the red or the black segments ?
Just had a go at these targets to "get my eye in" for the comp, and half my shots hit the lines.
I suppose you could take the same attitude as with an HFT target behind a cage - aim for the bloody cage, you're bound to miss so you might then hit the killzone - sounds daft but it works for me !!
Also, do we score the colours as we do in the monthly comps - if you clip the edge you score the target ?
Complicated this snooker lark
Hi Paul
You score inwards, so if you clip it you score the point. Now for the complicated bit. If you hit the segment then with another pellet you hit or clip that segment again then it's game over. As is with the colours as long as you hit those 'once' you get the points.
& now for the mind games did you beat Russ's score?
Regards
Paddy.
