I imagine the Alpha may have been discontinued in the UK because they won't have sold many at the silly price they had on it. I bought mine from the manufacturer in the Czech Republic. They are still on Czech websites and as Nige says, still available in Spain. Order from there maybe? Both in the EU, but AFAIK you cannot buy on a credit card in the CZ Rep.

I respect Nige's preference for the Alfa (and don't regret buying mine), but I've also used an Aeron and personally I found it superb. There should be quite a few S/H potentially available in the UK. CO2 isn't flavour of the month right now, so a CO2 pistol will cost you less and shoot just as well!!

BTW I believe the 10m world record is still held by a CO2 gun.... .
