Old BSA Air Rifle stamped T7405

    Hi all,
Thanks for allowing me acces to your great forum!
I need some help, and advice.
I have just aquired what I believe to be an old BSA air rifle, and would like some kind soul to advise me on a) what model it may be; b) what it may be worth; c) would anyone be interested in purchasing it from me?
I Don't know how to upload photo's on here, so will describe it as best as I can.
There is a T stamped on the side of part which joins the barrel, underneath the barrel it is stamped T7405, and on top of the barrel it is stamped B.S.A Guns Limited England .22 CAL. The stock has 3 grooves either side, it has a metal slide adjustable sight, it's in good condition apart from 2 small cracks in the stock near the trigger.

If anyone can help with uploading photo's I'd be grateful.

I really look forward to hearing from you.

    I think this is probably a Meteor Mk1 1959-62.

they also used T for the BSA standard, .22 made from 1936-39...

snozz, does it have a wooden stock that has three fluted cutouts? or a quarter stock? (one that finishes where the steel cylinder starts)

    Meteor

I had already answered this query in detail on the AG Forum! There is a pic of the gun on the AGF, clearly a Mark 1 Meteor.
