Remarkably, it's an Original Mod 6.
You wouldn't believe how many people don't recognise the name Original in relation to guns.

Anyone tell me what this pistol is please
http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q...5012009673.jpg
The grip is plastic, front sight is metal, back sight is plastic but quite sturdy, obviously the blueing has been removed.
It has "CAL 4.5/.177 64388" stamped on the breach, "Original" in fancy script on the top, "MOD.6" behind the rear sight, and "Made in Germany" on the left side.
The breach is really loose but it cocks and fires (little bits of rust/muck come out when fired).
Hopefully someone can tell me what it is or at least if it's worth sorting out.
Thanks
Jon.

Ok, thanks for that, at first I thought you lot were taking the pi$$, but after a bit of googling (should have tried that first) I consider myself to have been educated.Remarkably, it's an Original Mod 6.

Original model 6 for my money? had an Original rifle when I was a nipper,
if I understand it correctly Diana the Goddess Of Hunting was the name first used by the German firm then this trademark was sold to Milbro Caledonian a Scottish firm,
Then the German firm continued producing fine airguns under the name Original which apparently Peed off the Scots no end??
am happy to be corrected if I have got it wrong, at my age you need all the help you can get
Ok, now for a really stupid question, what are my chances of finding a piston seal and a breach pivot bolt for one of these?
Jon.

I had one of these repaired. It wasnt cheap and to be honest the result was a nice gun that was not very powerful. The later Original pistols are in a different league, particulary 6M and 10.
