    target shooting

    My wife has encouraged me to take up small bore live target shooting.anybody like to reccomend an air-rifle to practice with in the garden(must have diopter sights)

    Target Rifle

    Hi Glyn,

    It depends on your budget, but the best value would be to buy an historic 10 metre target rifle, which pop up quite regularly on this section, something like an FWB 300S or a Walther LGR, but there are many other worthy rifles out there, which are generally available in good order iro £200-£300.

    That is one helluva wife you have there! I wish I had met her first.

    Seriously, the best option might be to get a .177 sporting air-rifle and fit it with similar sights to those that you have on your .22 rifle. I have an Anschutz 335 fitted with an Anschutz diopter sight. It certainly helps with getting used to the sight-picture and sight adjustments on my .22LR Anschutz.
