Why not buy targets and a pellet catcher from the NSRA?
They are exactly the right size, don't need modification, make beautiful holes and are relatively cheap.
They will fit the pellet catcher without modification or tape. (More time for shooting).
It also supports our shooting organisation.
Win, win, win.
Mine cost me about a fiver, (the tripod was a freebie) it's made from a few bit's of an old pallet, a scrap of chip board, a bit of old steel shelving and a hand full of nails. the only thing i bought was the Bulldog Clips £2 and the spring Clips on the back £3. It can be mounted Vertical or horizontal. Below are a few pics.

Hi Jason,
Thats how I want to mount mine on a tripod.
That one looks like one of my old lighting stands from my days as a pro photographer
Have to find something similar for mounting it on instead of the garden refuse bin

I'm a tight swine, use old cardboard box telephone directories at the back old newspapers at the front, get my wife to hold it at the correct height,(snicker)...Mike...
I've used 3mm mild steel plate 12"x16" from work (welder fabricator by trade) drilled 2 x 3mm holes ,one in each top corner ,an old wire coathanger bent in a V between them to hang it. Then fixed a bulldog clip to hold the A4 targets . Makes perfect round holes. Best not use wood as it sends the pellets back at you !!!!!!!
