Thankyou for posting this I heard the terrible news earlier today, it knocked me for six. I spoke to Aidy a few weeks ago and he sounded fine.
I met Aidy when I joined the BFTO and had the pleasure of shooting in his CSFTA Bisley3 team, we travelled to shoots together and although he was my senior in years, we shared the same childish sense of humour I will remember him fondly as possibly the only man I have met who can out-talk me "Quick" phone calls to each other often developed into Marathon sessions, which I will always fondly remember
Aidy, to me, was like an overgrown Schoolboy, enthusiastic and passionate about his shooting and related engineering works, as Alan has said, he did not have a single ounce of nastiness in him-the true Gentleman of Airgun Shooting and a superb shot to boot.
I will miss you Aidy, I hope you have found peace my friend.
Graham.
