I've just got a copy of this book and I'm bowled over by the attention to detail and scholarship of John Griffiths. It's not cheap to buy but considering it's the equivalent of a row of books all on its own, it's brilliant value. It's a privilege to have access to this labour of love and to benefit from the hours of painstaking research. I think Prof Griffiths will go down in history as an author on a par with the great WHB Smith.

Another great book well worth having is....

Gary Garber's Encyclopedia of Daisy Plymouth Airguns. 416 pages crammed with information and pictures. Like Prof.John's herculean effort, the Garber book contains much original material and is certainly a necessary text for Daisy collectors. What a bumper year for printed literature,eh?

Excellent review of this book by John Atkins in the Christmas edition of Airgunner.

Good morning, my copy arrived on Saturday Last 19/12/2008. Very impresive and detailed. I have no doubts this will become a classic. If you collect pistols you need this book its that simple!

Thanks for the heads up on "The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols"

After just return back to the UK, and looking back at some of the messages on this site, I cant wait to get hold of my copy of The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols. Can any one tell me the best place to order it from, if not Ashlea Publication. Or is it just a case or calling them and ordering?

    Many Thanks
    Neil

I think you will find that he has sold out of 'Perfect'copies now. However last I heard he did have some slight seconds that he was selling at a slightly cheaper price. Best fire of an e-mail to John and see what is left.

    Thanks

Thanks - tried that but no response. Will they do a second publishing run?
