I think one of the Hammerelli's was a side lever possibly the 401 ?
Hi,
what do you fellows consider to be a collectable sidelever from our/my youth? I had a jackal which at the time was a very decent rifle but I cant really remember many others. I have a Webley Osprey which is mint but Im sure that there are other better rifles but neither my mates or I had any.
Does anyone collect them? Which is the best? Did Diana (not the original) ever produce one?
thanks in advance, this may fill one of the many gaps I have in my memory/knowledge!
Carl

I owned an Osprey for a while, the only sidelever that's ever made it into my cabinet, Webley also had the Viscount and Tracker. Carrying on from the Sussex Armoury guns were the Air Arms series of sidelevers, Mistral, Kamsin, Carmargue, Bora etc.

Thanks chaps, I never realised there were so many. I suppose the Webleys will be the most common? I dont know why they havent been used as a design more, if your prone they sre easier to load-and imo they look good as well!
Hi guys, well sideleavers. My list would be Hammerli puma/model 2, or 420 military stocked version of 400 series and ancestor posibly of Jackal. Jackal rifles any model, Webley Osprey, Tracker, Viscount, Se90. In short any of the above,
Relum/FEG sidelever. Never seen one, but understand they could do enormous damage, tot he user.... A rarity.
A Relum sidelever?! Never even heard of it. The Hammerli 401 was a military type with its own magazine-much like the wood stocked SLR. I have just one pic of this rifle from an 80s magazine! I would buy one of these in a heartbeat!
Sorry sir , have to correct you, 401 had wood stock, 420 had plastic green usaly stock. atb
Can I just ask what the difference is between a tracker and a tracker deluxe?
I have a tracker but no idea which one.
