    Question Why did I buy a pistol ???

    Hi all,

    Well the reason goes like this;

    In July I will be 50 and I have been thinking of ways to mark this achievement with my friends.
    Most of my friends are interested in shooting and will always have a go with my rifle whenever the opportunity arises. But very few of them actually own a gun.
    So I came up with an idea to have some fun whilst giving a few of these guys an excuse to go out and buy a gun.
    I needed to ‘level’ the playing field so rifles were out as I would be accused of having an unfair advantage.
    Having only used a GAT when I was about 11 and some cheapo springer pistol a few years later, I would not class myself as experienced with a pistol.
    So ‘pistols at dawn’ it had to be .

    The plan works like this;

    Each of us has a maximum budget of £50 with which to purchase a pistol (new or used), 500 rounds of ammo & CO2 if required.
    We will then meet up, on my birthday, to shoot 50 rounds each at 10 yards.

    We all have a good time and everyone gets to go home with a new toy – and hopefully a new hobby .

    As a result, I have bought an Anics Beretta A-9000 S, off of this bbs, for just £40! And I have not stopped playing with it since .

    I am well and truly hooked on pistols now.

    Cheers, Mark

    Not ever having shot an air pistol until recently...... Now I have 4 in a very short space of time and another on the way. My pellet consumption has increased slightly

    The bottom of the tin soon appears. Damned addictive. The Anics are a good real feel type (lacking in some areas) but good to pick up and you can't help putting another mag in

    Get hold of an old springer and relearn it all, that's what I'm doing. I love it. ADDICTION, yep it gets that way.

    Pistols are what separates the men from the boys.
