I want to get the 747 model, but that will be after I get an older model springer, which I'll be able to use in Vintage, and in 6-Yards.
Get the old springer, replace the Beeman with the 747, keep the Smith: that will give me 3 air pistols, and that's enough.
Or should be!
Cheers,
Jim

The most accurate one is the one you hit the best score with...
It's all down to the mix between pistol and user.
I know that the Compact is "supposedly" a far more accurate/consistent shooter as such, but I don't beat my own Falcon or 53m by that much whenever I use them.
I just seem to be better with the springers.
Just buy one of everything and try 'em Jim.

I hope you resist this one: http://www.henrykrank.com/vap123.html
It's post war, not pre war, and very overpriced.
I bought a pre war in similar condition for £45.
Hi Guys
GaryP, Actually I was thinking of slobbering HERE http://www.henrykrank.com/vap220.html

or if I'm lucky HERE http://www.henrykrank.com/vap204.html

Snag is that I know NOTHING about any of these pistols (except I want one, or...NO NO NO STOP) but if anyone can point me in the direction of some information I am close enough to go and have a drool, sorry, LOOK.
The Titan (is that a PCP?) seems to be calling but the Pope Brothers might just be fun as any Glaswegian will tell you it could be considered a privilege in some areas to shoot a Pope.
Is a pump up considered a PCP?
I can hear them calling. Must go.

That's a right oddball looking selection you've picked out!
What's with that Bowkett one? Is the barrel on the bottom?
The Original looks nice.
Don't like the Pope Bros one at all.
What are the big knobs either side of the Hammerli for?
And I thought choosing a CO2 pistol was confusing!
Hi Garry
You just picked up my point. I know nothing about any of these pistols, but, they look interesting. Since I have a Webley & Scott Hurricane it would seem I am attracted to ugly guns.
Bowket: Looks like a PCP with the barrel on top and cylinder below.
Original: looks like a springer.
Pope Brothers: This is a real antique but I can't decide if its PCP or springer with those two projections either side of the barrel. Could be a pump up.
Hamerli: Looks like loading/cocking/safety on the knobs. It's the threaded projection at the bottom of the handgrip which has me thrown. Is that a charging point, or where to fit a stock to convert to a carbine?
Truth is I will be forced to call in and examine these, and others, a task I am not looking forwad to since I will only be able to leave the shop with one of the poor unloved things.
Regards
Jim D

The Original is a recoilless springer using the Giss contra-piston design.
I think the Hammerli is a CO2 and the threaded thing on the bottom is a bulk fill adaptor.
I'm guessing that the Pope is a springer cocked by pulling those knobs forward with a special tool (so the piston flies backward like a Webley).
@ Target Bunny. I'm going to be selling an original 6M very soon, for a lot less than that; if you don't mind a bit of a project.
